Join Brisbane Appliance Sales in the search for ‘Brisbane’s Worst Kitchen’ and you can WIN simply for voting! Brisbane’s largest specialist retailer of premium kitchen and laundry appliances is on the hunt for Brisbane’s biggest kitchen disaster. The contest will give exposure to all types of kitchens including the good, the bad and the ugly. Some consider a kitchen that is stuck in the orange and brown overtones of the 1970s and decorated with boxy bulky countertops as ugly. While others might argue that a kitchen that appears ravaged by flood waters with layers of erosion and slime is the ultimate indicator of ugliness.

Submit an image of your ‘UGLY’ kitchen to comps@brisbaneappliance.com along with your name and suburb to be considered in the running for the crown title of ‘Brisbane’s Worst Kitchen’.

The proud owner of ‘Brisbane’s Worst Kitchen’ will be awarded a $10,000 Ilve appliance package to completely revamp their cooking experience as well as design consultation and full kitchen design service from award winning kitchen designer – Interiors by Darren James, valued at $1,500. This fantastic prize package can be perfectly tailored to suit your lifestyle and design preferences, unleashing new enthusiasm within your kitchen and banishing its previous ‘ugly’ qualities for good!

Extract from terms and conditions of competition;
1. Information on how to enter & prizes form part of these terms & conditions. Any entry not complying with these terms and conditions is invalid.
2. Entry is open to residents of Brisbane and greater areas with eligible properties of which residential postcodes are inclusive of 4000-4287; 9726; 4500-4514; 4516- 4521; 4550-4601. Whom are 18 years of age and over. Employees & their immediate families of the Promoters, the Promoter’s associated companies and agencies are ineligible to enter.
3. Entry is open to residents of aforementioned zoning requirements who hold ownership of the residential property being entered into the competition. The image submitted for competition entry must be an accurate and current representation of said premises. Entrants must have permission from all owners of the property being entered; proof of ownership may be required prior to allocation of prizes. Entries may not be submitted on behalf of a third party.
5. Entry to the Promotion commences at 12:00pm (midday) AEST on 1st November 2011 & closes at 12:00pm (midday) AEST on 30th December 2011 (“Promotion Period”). Voting via the facebook page will be conducted throughout the Promotional Period, at the conclusion of which the five highest voted (“liked”) suitable entries will be submitted for review into the final round of the competition. The finalists images and related interview will be used via the ‘Interiors By Darren James Pty Ltd’ official facebook page for a final round of voting to award the ‘People’s Choice’ award and also the judges selection of ‘Brisbane’s Worst Kitchen’. Voting for these entries will commence at 12:00pm (midday) AEST on 6th January 2012 & closes at 12:00pm (midday) AEST on 27th January 2012. The winner of the title ‘Brisbane’s Worst Kitchen’ and the ‘People’s Choice’ awards will be officially announced before 5:00pm AEST Friday 27th January 2012.
7. Participants will submit one image to comps@brisbaneappliance.com . Upon approval of suitability, the image will be posted to the ‘Brisbane Appliance Sales Pty Ltd’ official facebook page and considered into the running for the title ‘Brisbane’s Worst Kitchen’, by manner of voting (selecting “Like” for the images presented in a specific competition entry) the top five voted images at 12:00pm (midday) AEST on 30th December 2011 will be submitted into the final round of competition. At this point the five finalists will be contacted via facebook and email and required to allow a representative of ‘Brisbane Appliance Sales Pty Ltd’ to professionally photograph the kitchen and surrounding premises on Wednesday 4th January 2012 as well as be available for interview detailing why theirs is deserving of the title ‘Brisbane’s Worst Kitchen’. The finalists images and interview will be used via the ‘Interiors By Darren James Pty Ltd’ official facebook page for a final round of voting to award the ‘People’s Choice’ and also the judges selection of ‘Brisbane’s Worst Kitchen’.
